2011 is going to be a very busy fundraising year for ‘Follow Your Dreams’ with the launch of its largest fundraising campaign ever, ‘Catch the Dream’, now in full swing.
Between April 6th and the 9th 2011 we travelled to the borough of Thurrock, Essex where we enjoyed catching the dreams of the Green, York and Red classes of Castledon School in the Lakeside Shopping Centre. We would like to thank you if you were in the area and hopefully you saw for yourselves the fun we had catching dreams with the special youngsters in and around the borough. A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who bought a dream catcher or made a donation and became part of the many special dreams we are making come true for some really special youngsters in the Thurrock area. Another BIG THANK YOU to Joanna Williams and the staff at the Dartford Holiday Inn for accommodating us.
March 2011 took us into Kent, where we enjoyed working with Laleham-Gap School and catching some of their special dreams. A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who contributed to our dream--making team of volunteers in Kent.
Between February 17th and the 19th 2011 we enjoyed catching the dreams of Ogmore Vale and Ysgol Hendre Schools in the Quadrant Shopping Centre in Swansea. We would like to thank you if you were in the area and dropped by. Hopefully you saw for yourselves the fun we had catching dreams with the special youngsters in and around the Swansea district. A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who bought a dream catcher or made a donation and became part of the many special dreams we are making come true for some really special youngsters in the Swansea area. Another BIG THANK YOU to the staff at the Swansea Marriott Hotel for accommodating us.
In January ‘Catch the Dream’ launched in the St. David’s Shopping Centre, Cardiff, where it caught some really special dreams of some really special youngsters. These youngsters had already participated in the Charities’ Dream Catching Workshop, where, with guidance from their teachers, they made their very own dreams catcher that they had hung to catch dreams.
Over two days, Heronsbridge School, Bridgend, St Cenydd School, Caerphilly, Ashgrove School, Penarth, Woodlands, Ysgol Maes Dyfan, Ysgol Erwr Delwyn and St Nicholas School, Broham, Wiltshire attended our event to participate in our Dream Catching Workshop where they hung their dreams on our giant dream catchers and also enjoyed three minutes of fame participating in Britain’s Got Special Talent. The event was a huge success and raised over six thousand pounds that will go a long way to helping make some special dreams come true. We would like to give a BIG THANK YOU to the generosity of the public who supported us in Cardiff. |
