On Monday 28th October, seven young people from the Cardiff area were treated to a masterclass in cupcake decorating at Emma Jane’s Cupcake Kitchen, a beautiful independent cake makers in the Cathays area of the city.

Emma taught the group how to decorate a variety of different cupcakes in several different styles, and even showed them how they could create cakes which looked like cartoon characters ranging from Sesame Street favourite, The Cookie Monster to minions from Despicable Me and even Jack from The Nightmare Before Christmas, which was particularly fitting so near to Halloween.

Each participant created six wonderfully creative cupcakes to take home with them and learned a range of techniques that they can use again to impress friends and family.  We have been reliably informed that the cakes tasted fantastic, and we would like to extend our thanks to Emma from Emma Jane’s Cupcake kitchen for leading a fabulous session.
