Dear Follow your Dreams,

 

Leon and his sister Zoe had their karting session at Buckmore Park on Halloween. We had to arrive at 8 am ready for the 8:30 tuition session which included two ten minute sessions on the track.

 

 

The first job was to get sorted with racing suit and helmet.

 

 

Next followed a classroom session, a walk around the track and being fitted to the kart.

 

 

Leon is in kart 4 and his sister Zoe is behind him in number 5. As you can see they were in for a wet weather session, but still used slick tyres. The rain did not stop and there were quite a few spins, but no injuries.

 

 

Here, Leon is breaking one of the rules. i.e. Keep two hands on the wheel, even if your dad is taking a photo.

 

 

There were seven karts on the track together, although it may look as if they had it to themselves. The next photo is with two hands on the wheel.

 

 

 

All done and ready to go home, a very wet, but very happy Leon.

 

 

There’s a very big thank you to Follow your Dreams from Leon, Zoe and me. It was the highlight of their half term break. They can’t wait to come again to the ‘turn up and go’ sessions, although Leon would prefer a dry weather experience next time. Now that we have broken ice I am sure that we will come again.
