One of our volunteers bumped into Rachel from the Bristol Group of Free Cakes for Kids at Tesco, Eastville.

Rachel kindly wrote in to inform us of the community service they provide, they bake birthday cakes for children whose families can't provide one.  The reasons they help out are varied from social need, refugee status or disability within the family.  Their service is a free community initiative and they have a group of willing volunteers who remember the enjoyment of getting birthday cakes when they were children and want to share this and give others good memories.
